Good Morning,
Some people have found it strange that Kelly and I have such a wide range of friends in different age groups and do not hang out with just couples of our own age. Many times I have been asked (politely) how we can hang out with someone so “old” or so “young” and “what on earth do you talk about?”
I guess I never really think about it or really see people in terms of age. I tend to see those I love in phases of their life, some just starting while others are seasoned and experienced; we all walk the same paths but see different scenery and hearing everyone else’s point of view regardless of age holds great interest for me. If we look at life as a journey, then we are all travelers along its path and this makes us more alike than different. Whether you see this path as a circle or a line makes no difference, only that we all share the path.
The thought for today is this:
How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these.
Peace and Love, Jim
