Good Day,
Let us play, let us sing and dance wildly. May we wander quietly by the seas, the forests and in the fields. May we remember these days in summer for they are a part of our very being.
Much love and peace to you all, Jim.

Good Day,
It can be said that motivation doesn’t last. Neither does bathing that’s why we do it daily. It’s funny how we think accomplishing something one time makes us masters and we move on to the next challenge. We get happy, then unhappy, we become motivated, then lazy. Are these natural cycles are just excuses to keep moving, to keep the scenery changing?
It’s funny how I hear all the discussions about motivating people in the work place or motivating people in their relationships. The best motivation is self-motivation. For example a person says, “I wish someone would come by and fire me up.” What if that person never shows up? You may want a better plan for your life.
Humans have the remarkable ability to want what they think they must have. We could call this motivation and it is to some degree, but there is a difference between a “must” and a “want’ and their motivations are different as well. When you know what you want, then try to understand why you begin to get at the heart of your motivations, you begin to bring them into the light for examination.
Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him, now you have a motivated idiot. And the idiot will have idiot motivations – think about all the time and resources spent on the silly things you HAD to have when you were younger??? And my apologies to the idiots.
The point is that we should try to understand our motivations in life. We need to understand when we feel we have no motivation and when we feel we have the greatest motivation. Understanding gives us the chance to breathe, to be less reactionary and less urgent. Without a sense of urgency, desire becomes more balanced and workable, we thirst less, live more and realize that our motivations and intentions behind our actions are as important as the outcomes!
Have a wonderful day and consider this – You are the embodiment of the information you choose to accept and act upon. To change your circumstances you need to change your thinking and subsequent actions.
Peace and Love, Jim
