Today

Despite how we may feel about the economy, politics or the state of our own affairs we only need to let it all go if for only a moment and remember that we have today.

Today I need to remind myself of my opportunity to live another moment

Today I can appreciate personal honesty and courage .. as well as the failure of both at times and the lessons I will learn.

Today I enjoy another sunrise, sunset and maybe even a rain storm

Today I can play and kick in muddy puddles like a 7 year old boy

Today I walk a dirt road with an happy excited dog

Today I feed river swans, ducks and geese along the park pond

Today I take in the silver sunrays on water

Today I admire the hussle and bussle of a busy world

Today I think about the airplanes full of people heading to far away places

Today I enjoy the coolness in a forest and the sounds of birds and crickets

Today I enjoy my ride to work and returning  home

Today I enjoy another cahnce to take it all in and share in the beauty of life with each of you, for today is the day, the only day that really matters.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Peace and Love, Jim

Clutter

I have a simple policy in life,  for me to possess something I must see beauty in it or it must be useful, if it is neither of these then I just throw it away. Ten times out of ten I have discovered that I never regret trashing things. The trash in our life includes old clothes, old utensils, rusty tools, rusty relationships, rusty emotions, old angers, old hostilities, old newspapers, and negative emotions.

It is never too late to make some positive changes in our old patterns. Life has a tendency to pile upon us and bog us down, if we do not learn to simplify, de clutter, downsize, create space, and throw the junk away. The more you clear the clutter from your life the simpler you make it, and the simpler your life is, the happier you are!

Let’s lead a beautiful and useful life. Let’s live afresh and love again.

Peace and Love, Jim
