We all get stuck from time to time. We find a nice rhythm in life that soon becomes our routine. Our routine works pretty well to keep us on track so we build momentum. However, if we don’t keep things fresh, our routine can become a rut and we end up getting a bit stuck in our ways. We forget how alive we feel when we try new things.
The good news is we can break out of our ruts by changing up our routines and adding in new experiences. The more we experiment the more we learn about ourselves. We gain new perspectives and we stay attuned to what we’re feeling.
Try shaking things up a bit this week and notice how much more present you are when you’re having a new experience. Experiment every day this week and start small and keep building new experiences. Lean toward what feels fun, easy and brings you joy.
Life is too short to dread, hate or hold onto those things that make you unhappy or zap the life out of you. So make a change for the better and discover the life that is waiting on you to join in.
Remember the difference between a rut and a grave is the depth of the hole!
Peace and Love, Jim
