A soldier wields his weapons in battle with skill and confidence in his purpose.

A mechanic works his tools deftly and with wisdom to his purpose.

What do we each yield daily in our own lives? Just as the soldier or mechanic are skilled at their arts so should we too be well versed in our wisdom and understanding of life. For just as the tradesmen is trained in the skillfull use of his tools and knowledge we too must at some point take up our training.

Life gives us many such opportunities in the form of problems to solve, hardships to endure and yes even pleasures to balance. We only need to be devoted students with enough understanding to recognize our lessons and learn from them.

There are only three simple guide lines to remember:
Pay attention.
Be astonished.
