You may have seen it in articles, heard about from someone – its almost a catch phrase at this point in life. What am I talking about?

The age old advice to “empty your mind.”

Now I am in not agains the concept, in fact I think it can bring great value and perspective to ones life. I just don’t think people fully understand the concept or how to fully embrace it. So lets take a look at the concept I use and you can formulate from there;

When you sit to empty your mind try this: Empty your mind of all past thoughts. Forget all that you have learned about life, about yourself, and about the world we live in. Forget about all the ideas you have about how life should work, or shouldn’t work. Forget about all the beliefs you have about what is possible or impossible. Forget about all your past fears, insecurities, doubts, excuses and limitations. Forget about all your past failures and mistakes, and just be open to what is.

The mind is limited, but the the light within is not. And that is why it is so important to get out of your mind and move into your heart. Rest your mind here as long as you can, as long as you wish. Just let everything go.

Peace and Love, Jim
