Frustration. . .

It’s normal to feel frustrated from time to time in life. But letting those negative feelings overwhelm you is the kryptonite to intrinsic growth and motivation. This will ultimately derail you from reaching your goals and achieving your personal growth. Negative thoughts and feelings, when unmanaged, slow your brain down, increase your stress levels, and make it more difficult to solve problems.

To avoid this, set aside 15 to 30 minutes on your calendar whenever you feel overwhelmed by negative emotions. Use this time to privately to reflect: You might process difficult interactions, vent about a bad day, or scream about how annoying your boss is (screaming can be therapeutic if managed correctly). This will help you decompress in a healthy way, and stop those thoughts and feelings from overwhelming you. You’ve done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.

Remember, your mission is to fulfill those things upon which you focus most intently. So choose to keep your focus on that which is truly magnificent, beautiful, uplifting and joyful. Sure you will have bad moments and rough days but do not give them power. Your life is always moving toward something. Upon reflection, you may realize that you have fewer reasons to be negative than you thought. The goal is to better understand what’s driving your feelings and address those things — as opposed to avoiding them — making you better equipped to move forward.

Work hard for what you want because it won’t come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive. Frustration thrives on discontent so remember – Our frustration is often caused not by life itself, but by worry, anger and resentment. When we overcome these base causes we begin to turn the corner on our frustration and see the beauty of the journey we are on.
