In the the Orally Transmitted Teachings, it is taught, “One should regard meeting obstacles as true peace and comfort”. You may wonder how encountering obstacles could be a source of peace and comfort. But the truth of the matter is that through struggling against and overcoming difficulties, we can transform our destiny and attain Buddhahood. Confronting adversity, therefore, represents the spirit of the teachings of The Buddha – In our struggles we find our strength, our compassion and our purpose. Let us not shy from these concepts but define them daily through our actions and intent.

Peace and Love, Jim
