Our heart (inner resolve) is fundamental to a life of compassion and understanding. In his classic The Little Prince, the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry writes: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
We cannot always tell whether something is genuine just with our eyes. Nor can we see the or find the truth with just our minds. Only by striking a balance between the two can we navigate and discern the truths this life has to offer.
