In some sects of Buddhism the heart plays second fiddle to the mind. I personally believe that balancing the heart with the mind is the middle way ad will serve me best. Why?
The heart is just as equal as the mind when understood. In his classic The Little Prince, the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry writes: “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.” It is just as he says. We cannot always tell whether something is genuine just with our eyes. Only by looking with the heart and the mind can we discern the true essence of this gift called life.
