The sperm that fertilized that egg was in constant motion. The heart that allows you to live is in constant motion. The mind that directs you to think is in constant motion. The body you use to walk on this earth is in constant motion. The earth you are walking on every day of your life is in constant motion. The galaxy where our earth is located is in constant motion. The universe that holds milllions of galaxies like ours is in constant motion.

So stillness, does it truly exist? Can it be found?

The living human body is in motion constantly. The heart beats causing blood to course through our arteries and veins. Our neurons fire constantly, even during sleep. Our hair and nails grow without ceasing, just too slowly for us to notice. Our skin is constantly replacing itself. Our lungs expand and contract with every breath.

The human body is full of motion, even when it’s sitting still.

So again where is stillness?

Mindfulness & Meditation help focus on the moment while at the same time knowing we cannot capture that moment, we are in a flow of moments. We always have been. So let it flow for we can watch moments in detail without being attached to them. Non-attachment to past & future stems stems from this fact and points us to accept the only stillness we can know – that which we create from knowing.
