Learning and Living. . .

As time marches on some ot us begin to really see for the first time in our lives, while others vision only gets poorer. It is not only the fact that our eyes begin to soften and go blurry but that our minds do the same thing as well. We can always wear a pair of glasses to correct what our eyes perceive, but we must be more diligent and take efforts upon ourselves to keep our minds seeing clearly.

Time can take it’s toll, but it is also the greatest teacher we can have. . . After a while, You learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul. You learn that love doesn’t mean leaning and company doesn’t mean security.

You begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts and presents aren’t promises. You begin to accept you defeats with your head up and eyes open, With grace and not griet.

You learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrows ground is too uncertain for plans, and futures have a way of talling apart.

After a while,

You learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much.

You learn to plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.

And you learn that you really can endure…

That you really are strong, you really do have worth.

After a while,

You learn and learn… and come to understand that if you are not learning, you may not be living

Peace and Love, Jim
