Received. . .
“Do not underrate what you have received, nor envy others. He who envies others or seeks peace through them does not obtain peace of mind not happiness of heart.” – The Buddha
By comparing yourself to others, you put yourself in a negative state of being. This makes you more nervous and less assured of yourself. The happier and focused you are, the more likely you’ll be to succeed. The groups you identify with and spend time with can have a great impact on your life in ways large and small. Environment is stronger than will. If you want to be successful in whatever you’re doing, embrace those that lift you up and encourage you in your goals.
Negativity weighs you down and if left unchecked or avoided it can rob you of so much more than facing the music, doing what is required and appreciated the gift of your days and the steps you take towards the outcomes and mindsets you know are meaningful. Appreciation can be the greatest lens for viewing the ever-changing days with. Appreciate that. Appreciate the day. Appreciate the beauty of this moment called life.
Peace and Love, Jim
