Buddhism holds that everything is in a constant state of flux.

Thus the question is whether we are to accept change passively and be swept away by it or whether we are to take the lead and create positive changes on our own initiative. While preservation and self-protection might be likened to common sense, the spirit of pioneering and attempting to realize ideals evokes feelings of momentum and growth.

It is between these two spirits that we should seek our home, our spot of contentment in which we are preserving the spirit of taking root in order to grow forth.

Peace and Love, Jim
