Carpe Diem – Latin Proverb
Coined in 23 BC by Horace, the term is derived from a poem in the Odes (book 1, number 11), and means “Seize the moment”. It was utilized by many military groups and has lasted the test of time better than many ancient writings and sayings. The Latin term over the years has evolved into the most quoted Latin phrase because of its implications to capture life’s opportunity and live life to the fullest!
Remember that this morning’s sunrise does not define itself by last night’s sunset, so seize your moments and live them fully.
Peace and Love, Jim
