Let’s face the truth: Generally, people have a negative attitude and mindset. Just look at the faces of the people on the bus or in traffic next time you are commuting and you will realize that most people are looking unhappy, annoyed and not spreading positive vibes at all. In general, people tend to talk much more about the negative than the positive things in life. Also if you turn on your tv and watch the news, you will be informed of all the bad things that are happening.
If you want to become a better version of yourself, negativity must be reduced at a minimum and you need to focus on positivity and the mindsets that create it. You can not achieve great things by being negative. The people around you play a significant role in your own mindset and can highly affect you. Once you have like-minded people around yourself, keeping a positive attitude will be much easier and you will empower each other continuously.
This does not necessarily need to mean that you stop talking to old friends because they are negative. Just keep things in check because your time and your energy are your most precious resources so be aware of how you use them. Every day you have dozens of opportunities to get out of your comfort zone and grow in ways large and small. Your ability to grow as a person is connected to your willingness to take risks and to the amount of action you take. If you just step out of your comfort zone once every day, you will see your confidence grow. No matter how small the action is, the more often you make these tiny steps happen, the more your comfort zone will grow.
If you want to grow into a better version of yourself, self-education is inevitable. Nowadays there are tons of ways of educating yourself, even for free. Millions of online resources allow you to learn skills and improve yourself in any area of your life. However, no matter what you want to get better at, the key is consistency. No matter if it is watching educational videos, reading, listening to podcasts or anything else — just make sure to implement self-education into your daily routine. Only if you continuously learn, make mistakes and grow from them will you transform into a better version of yourself.
As you personally transform your days, your habits and mindsets you too will transform and never fall into the tides of misery and discontent we see in others during our moments of observation. Not only do we transform, we become transformative.
Peace and Love, Jim
