Our lives are ruled by impermanence. But simply realizing that changes nothing. There is no value in bleak pessimism. The challenge is how to create something of enduring value within the context of our impermanent lives. The Lotus Sutra teaches us how to do this. It is an extensive read, but I encourage anyone wanting to to learn more about one of The Buddhas most prolific teachings to take it up.
The best summary I can offer to aid in understanding is this: We can say that the whole consciousness of the universe takes place not only in the existence the universe beyond, but the vast universe of creation within.
Remember that knowledge has no value until the skills of application are put into practice.
