In many texts concerning buddhism we encounter the term “wrong-doing” and I personally have always treated terms and conditions when reading old texts and referencing meaning and in that context the majority of us have to personalize the concept. In other words where did I go wrong in a situation or thought process. This often clarifies and leads us upstream in our understanding.

So on the topic of “wrong doing” . . .
All wrong-doing arises because of mind. So it is not society or outside evils that we must consider and correct it is our mindsets. Ask yourself this – If your perception and understanding of yourself changes, then guess what? “You” change. Its just a matter of mind and perception.

The mind is everything. What we think we become.

It is our own mind, not outside forces, that steer us off course, cause us to misunderstand and mis-interpret our minutes, days and lives. The Buddha said – “There is nothing so disobedient as an undisciplined mind, and there is nothing so obedient as a disciplined mind.” So let us give energy, attention and understanding to our mindsets, our processes.

We simply need to remember – Nothing can harm you us much as our own thoughts unguarded.

Peace and Love, Jim
