It is good to engage in discourse with others. However this is of no use if you lean on what you think you already know. The greatest vessel for potential is an empty one. So empty your head and listen to the voice of reality. It is not the sound, but the meaning that matters. It is not the ear, but the heart that must understand.
If you spend your days escaping reality and indulging your senses then the sad day will always arrive when you can longer keep up or truly experience simplicity. The mind is like a wild elephant, yet it can be tamed patience and understanding, it can be free from pleasure as long as we do not feed it with conceit, hatred, status and greed.
Freedom is not in doing what we want, but in wanting no more.
